Invocation

Dark rites involving a priestess, a pentagram, candles and blood sometimes lead to some unpleasant visits.

After making the main version of this image, I rendered an alternate, more detailed one from the front.

 

The idea came from one of the Michael Moorcock novels of the Elric saga. In one episode, the melnibonean invokes a powerful demon and the process includes tracing glyphs with his own blood all over a room and onto himself.
