Special offer on ImageSynth at DAZ

ImageSynth is an interesting tool to create tileable textures. DAZ offers it at just $39.60 instead of $99.

ImageSynthSeamless bitmap textures are really useful in 3D. In some cases, you cannot truly mimic natural surfaces without them. The main problem is that in many cases, they are quite difficult to make.

Before using ImageSynth, I worked in Photoshop using the clone stamp tool and applying an offset filter to fill the blanks. While this works well for textures with very small details, this technique is almost unuseable on elements with larger details.

ImageSynth makes the process easier by using a special interface to create the textures.  It also has a truly impressive features that detects the edges of larger elements and blends them ideally. You can make tileable textures of gravel beaches as advertised as it detects their sides and blends them ideally.

ImageSynth is from Luxology, the same company that created Modo. To learn more about this program and purchase it, click here.
